Can I speak to you at any time?Whilst we do our best to be here during our opening hours of Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM and Saturday 9AM to 4PM, sometimes we may not be available to answer the phone. However, this doesn't mean that we are not working at making Dockside Models a friendly place to get what you need, be it kits, parts or just advice. If you need something and we haven't been at the phone, either 1) try again later, or 2) leave your contact details and a brief reason for calling, or 3) send us a message or email. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

When will I be able to see kits and parts in the Dockyard Models section of the website?Dockyard Models is still in its early days. We are working hard at obtaining stock and at the same time we have to catalogue everything. This takes time when building up from scratch. What it does mean is that we are getting stock in, but we are not showing what we haven't got. That would be misleading to you and not help us in the long run. So what we are saying, for the short term, is to contact us. We may well have what you need.

I need a special item made for my model. Can you do it?First thing to do is give us a call or send a short email with your needs. ORCA 3D have been able to design and print special items for several customers, some of which are now part of the ORCA 3D catalogue. Bespoke fittings and figures are not normally produced within the same timeframe as our current items, but we can give you estimated timelines based on design time and printer availability.

How can I dispose of ORCA 3D products safely? Most ORCA 3d products are made from a photopolymer resin, although some are from PLA (Polylactic Acid or Polylactide) by another process. For Resin printed items, the part is safe to be discarded as with normal plastic waste. PLA is a corn-based starch material, and can be recycled as compost material.
